2. Living Wage and Fair Work Conditions
We will ensure that all workers receive a living wage that reflects the true cost of living. This includes enforcing fair work conditions, paid leave, and the right to unionize without fear of retaliation
3. Affordable Housing Initiatives
We will tackle the housing crisis head-on by increasing the availability of affordable housing, offering subsidies for first-time homebuyers, and implementing rent control measures to protect tenants.
4. Climate Action and Environmental Sustainability
We commit to transitioning Australia to a 100% renewable energy economy by 2035. This includes investing in green technologies, reducing carbon emissions, and protecting our natural resources and biodiversity.
5. Free and Accessible Education
Education will be free and accessible from early childhood through to tertiary education. We will eliminate student debt for higher education and ensure all schools are adequately funded and resourced.
6. Strengthened Social Safety Net
We will expand social services to ensure that all Australians have access to the support they need. This includes increasing welfare benefits, expanding disability services, and providing robust support for the unemployed.
7. Electoral Reform for True Democracy
To enhance democratic participation, we will introduce proportional representation, lower the voting age to 16, and ensure that all political donations and lobbying activities are transparent and regulated.
